Hats in Sorce from Gungeon Do not do anything for your character. They do not improve your gameplay, your firing rate, the amount of damage you do or everything that could help you continue further in the game. Instead, these are cosmetic objects that you can place on The top of your chosen character's head and watch them run with him while you fight.
However, you do not immediately access these hats. You receive your first three before and after completing your training with manual. He gives you one to listen to him, to disobey him, then finish your training. There are 34 hats you can buy. To enter them, you must unlock Hattori. You must save them by buying a rat key and pursuing the game as one of the four Gungeoneers with whom you start the game. They will unlock Hattori during their race and give you access to appearance options.
The Hattori will provide you with hats if you have hegemonic credits to buy them. You can win the hegemony by beating bosses in the game. You want to make sure that if you buy them, you want to do it. The same motto you use to buy these appearance objects is the same as the one you use to get additional objects and weapons for your Sort from the Gungeon runs.
You must first determine if you want to buy all the objects and weapons of the game or start buying appearance hats for your characters. This varies depending on the objects and weapons you already have and the number of hegemony credits that you have gained reliably.
