Narrative director of God of War Ragnarok responds to the criticisms about the character of Angrboda
Since God of War Ragnarok was revealed to the world during the past PlayStation Showcase several days ago, the Trolls took the opportunity to criticize many of the elements of the game. In addition to attacking the design that Thor would have on this upcoming Nordic adventure, the community was also against Sony Santa Monica for including Afro-descendant characters in the title, in particular, to angrboda .
Specifically, people have been complaining that AGRBODA , who is interpreted by Laya de Leon Hayes, has been portrayed as an Afro-descendant person within the Nordic mythology of the game. Given these comments, Matt Sophos , narrative director of the game, responded with the following:
If you know that jotunn are not real, right? Can they be who or how it is? Are some even giant snakes?
But I understand it. You were just according to Jormungandr because the scales of him were white, right?
Well, I wish you luck. I hope you find a game that best suits your sensitivities.
God of War Ragnarok will debut at some point of 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
