Mercyful Fate is a Danish band of Heavy Metal, formed in Copenhagen by the King Diamond vocalist and the Guitarist Hank Shermann in 1981. [1] influenced by progressive rock and hard rock, and with letters that dealt with topics such as occultism and Satanism, Mercy Fate were part of the first wave of Black Metal in the mid-1980s. Since 1999, the band is located in a hiatus, although its members have met several times in the 2000s.
